HOW THIS WEB SITE CAME TO bE

It was the Christmas of 1993, I has just lost my mother. She was a very talented woman of God. In spite of the good rearing and love I had for the Lord, I felt untalented. As I mourned my mothers "Home Going" and as a mother of four children thoughts of motherhood and how she must have felt at times just like I did then, I sat down to write a Christmas poem. I had experienced times in my life that I thought I wish I could write and express myself. But lacked confidence to trust my words. My husband was a good writer and speaker being a minister. Oh I had taught Sunday School and even lead a small Bible study group from time to time. But lacked the confidence to assert myself as ready to launch into the writintg scene, but my writintg became our family Christmas card.

It was a few weeks following Christmas when I received  nice letter from an Aunt, my mothers sister-in-law.  She praised my writing and spoke of how proud my mother would have been with my story. Time passed and life became busy and from time to time I'd try my hand again.  While walking for exercise I'd think of things I'd write if I were good enough. I still struggled with the feeling a not being good enough.

In 2000 my husband Dale began pastoring Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff Nebraska. I began to write a short devotional article for the church newsletter monthly. Those are the basis of most of what you find here, plus tidbits from the many wonderful emails and most of all God's Holy Word. 

To God be the glory for anything that may be helpful and bring joy to your heart.
